I have to write a paragraph on aerodynamics. and i picked volleyball

  1. The biggest thing is how the serves behave in the air because of the spin.

    A jumpserve (topspin) curves downward. The spin makes the air on the bottom move faster, creating lower pressure, which makes negative lift.

    and vice versa a backspin would "hang" longer or possibly curve upwards.

    A floatserve (no spin) wiggles back and forth because the air does not know which way to go around the ball

  3. i never thought of that, maybe it's about the ball...find out whatever talks about aerodynamics on balls and refer to the weight and surface of the volleyball. i don't see anything else for ya....good luck kid
