People will be reading e books as much as paper books which will help the environment by saving the trees that are used to make books.

because of falling standards in education and society as a whole (I'm talking about Britain here), including the wholesale dumbing down by the media, people are already losing the ability to read, or not acquiring the skill in the first place. If this trend continues, reading will become the preserve of a lucky but small educated elite. Britain being what it is, the rest will then despise the elite and make reading about as socially acceptable as say wife beating or smoking.
