What really happened between Kyle Busch and HMS?

Did he got fired for some reason, or just left by himself?

If he did get fired, what was the reason(s) of him getting fired?

HMS fired him but he probally did not care because he was a second banana.

Kyle was pretty shocked at first especially since Rick Hendricks said "no room in my stable" when rumors were flying about Jr. going to Hendricks. Rick H clearly knew how to make room though. So he kicked out or fired or didn't sign Kyle on again and now look how good Kyle is doing.

He was released from his contract, some people say because Hendrick didn't like his attitude I guess. It was more likely because Hendrick wanted Jr. and Jr. could make Hendrick more money after announcing that he was leaving DEI.

Kyle said last year that Hendrick told everyone it was mutual, but in reality it wasn't, and Kyle had not been in negotiations with any other team. Hendrick basically kicked him too the curb.

Kyle is making that decision look silly every week.

Earlier in the season he was taking questions from elementary students and one of them asked:

"Do you think Mr. Hendrick has sellers remorse?"

Kyle said, "We'll find out after Homestead"

Who said Kyle didnt prove himself at Hendrick you moron (one of the anwsers not the original?) Kyle won more races from his rookie year till the begining of this year than Jr did in the same amount of time, made the Chase each year except rookie year and finished higher in the standings than Jr each year except his rookie year. What pissed Rick off was he was negotiating with Kyles representatives and they told him "they" had talked to other teams (which sounds ok to me, thats how you figure out what your value is). Rick told them to sign with one of them. Kyle then fired those people because he didnt know that they had done that, but it was too late and Hendrick was in negotiations with JR. I said it was a mistake letting Kyle go when they made the announcement, but its worked out pretty well for Kyle looking back now. I'm still a Gordon, Johnson and Busch fan, Even if Jr is a member of Team Hendrick.

Kyle did not fit RHMotorsports goody 2 shoes image.plus he wanted JR. You gotta have a little brashness and testicular fortitude to do what Tony,Denny,and kyle  has done in nascar.They have a winners attitude and JGR is the perfect place for it.Also,RHmotorsports is not as goody-goody as they want everyone to believe.Thats really phony,give me a driver with fire and attitude like JGR boys anyday!!!!

Hendrick wanted to make room for Dale Jr. It came down to Mears and Kyle. Kyle wanted to move on and there were relationship issues with him and Hendrick anyway. Kyle didn't fit in to the professional image HMS drivers have so he happened to be the odd man out.

What ever it was it clearly benefited him to leave HMS. (I can't say i was sad to see him go, he made room for Jr)  I thought at the beginning of the season with Gibbs switching over the Toyota and Busch switching teams that they would have a period of learning. Clearly i was wrong, Good for him! He is clearly one of the best drivers this season.

Jr. had a huge fan base which translates into $$$ Kyle now is a major player which will transfer into bigger $$$ because he will win Championships, where Jr. will win a few races.

Rick Hendrick never like Kyle that much. When Dale Jr. was a free agent, Rick was quick to get him on the roster. He looked for the best possible person to get rid of. He couldn't get rid of Gordon or Johnson since they were so great last year. He wasn't going to fire Mears, since he had only been with HMS for 1 year. Kyle Busch never proved himself at HMS, so he was kicked out for the 88. Why he is all of a sudden proving himself at JGR I have no idea.

The answer by jr and stewart lover is WRONG.....Kyle's contract was not renewd.....He was just too young and brash for Rick Hendrick's laid back style......Their was NO scandal and no allegation of scandal ever!!

He was fired but before that, he was pretty upset there. He blamed his teammates for not helping him win at Daytona and then called Rick Hendrick a liar or something like that. Hendrick probably regrets it now lol

Believe what you want but its very simple.  JR was available and Rick wanted that opportunity.  One man was going to be left out and he couldn't let Mears go because of the contract obligations. (plus Roger Mears and him are friends).    I guess you can say he had no choice but to let Kyle go and now he's paying the price with one deabeat driver and one well marketed driver.   Kyle didn't wreck cars nor is there any nonsense called "the Hendrick mold"  which is obvious by the bag of skittles on that team now.

I think that it is so funny listening to ppl bash on Rick...i mean its not his fault he has a amazing team....and Kyle left cause he basically got FIRED Rick was tired of his attitude...and i think that part of the reason that kyle always had an attitude was bc he did like being behind the shadows of his AMAZING TEAMMATES....and when Jr announced that he was leaving DEI Rick saw that this would be a amazing opportunity and he took it and i beat y'all would have done the same thing....and kyle has always had an attitude....and he crys all the time!and i think that Rick made a good choice by getting rid of kyle because he just didn't really click w\his teammates like he should have....
