  1. There's a lot of politics from both sides, but I'll do my best to break it down as simply as possible. I've read up on it these past couple of days.

Russia funded and backed a rebellion in the Georgian territory in South Ossetia for the people there to secede and become independent.

Eventually, skirmishes began with S.O rebels and Georgians in different villages in Georgia and S.O. Finally, Georgia had enough and decided to invade South Ossetia to crush the rebellion, therefore starting the war.

Russia attacked Georgia because South Ossetia's citizens were mostly Russian citizens with Russian passports and Russia was trying to protect them as by their constitution. Plus Russian peacekeepers were there since the 90's according to an agreement with Georgia after a previous conflict.

  2. Just a coincidence that 8 days before Georgia shelled S Ossetia, the US and Israel were completing a 2 week training exercise with the Georgian military, but we knew nothing of it. Riiiiight

  3. Uhhh...those damned Yankees and their war of northern aggression?

    ;-)

  4. American support of Georgia...another ex-Russian state.

Along with the hyperbolic Georgian president

America wanting Georgia to be part of nato

The stupidity of the georgian prez to attack south ossetia

    Putin's nationalist mind

  5. someone threw trash over the fence and his dog also pooped on the neighbor's yard. someone always goes ballistic when that happens.

  6. to take back territory that belonged to Rusia.
