Does saying "thank you"is enough appreciate or have to do other acts like going down on bended knees constitute appreciateness?

It depends on the gesture or act that you are thankful for.  If someone does something small or that is a part of something they normally do, thank you is enough.  If someone goes out of their way or does something that is especially important to you, a bigger sign of your appreciation is called for.  Going down on bended knee is rarely used here in the US, as far as I know, but thank you cards, small gifts of appreciation, etc. are quite common.

It can also mean go up in value. A simple thank you I appreciate that is usually enough.
