At the time that Anna Anderson was claiming to be Anastasia, her DNA was compared to that of Prince Philip of Britain, who is related to the Romanovs.  Anderson was conclusively not a Romanov.  In the last decade on so all of the bodies of the immediate royal family have been found and identified.  Anastasia is conclusively dead.

The charred remains of the two bodies missing from the mass grave were discovered in August 2007. In April 2008, it was announced that Russian scientists had identified these remains as the young Tsarovitch and his sister.

Well actually a lot of reaserch has been done.  When the last Czar family of Russia was killed there bodies were dumped in a forest.  yrs later when they wet searching for the bodies they found everyone but  two mebers of the family. They pressumed after some DNA testing that it was the little boy alexi and older girl Anastasia or her sister i forget her name were not to be found.  Years later in berlin some woman claimed she was Anastasia but in fact she was some woman from poland who had amnesia.  they did DNA testing to the bones of the czar's family and found no blood realtivity at all.  So it was presumed that the two bodies were cremated.  but i believe Anastasia some how escaped.  and survived. There is no mystery.The whole Romanov family was murdered by the Bolsheviks90 years ago .
