What reason would a man tattoo his eyebrows?

Question

I know this guy for a long time, who's in his thirties and is straight. I didn't notice until recently that he doesn't have eyebrows, but tattooed eyebrows. He always wears sunglasses outdoors. Is there such a thing as eyebrow hair loss?

I would feel out of place asking him about his eyebrows. Or are there straight guys out there who wax their eyebrows and then tattoo them? I would understand if they would wax the middle portion in the case of a uni-brow.

Anyways, I just thought to inquire and see what are the responses to this question. Thank you.

He may be genetically without eyebrows.  Does he have hair elsewhere?

He may have suffered burns in a fire, and there is scar tissue where the eyebrows had been.

He may not have liked his original eyebrows, and had tattooed eyebrows that suited him.

Actually yeah. Some people have either no hair or very little hair on their brow so you can't see it. My mom has this problem and had to tattoo her eyebrows. She has hardly any hair so if she didn't tattoo them on it looks like she has no eyebrows. But some people do it for style I think.

Some people don't really grow eyebrows much.  My grandma, mother, and aunt have barely any to none.  If that's not the case, then perhaps he had some sort of accident and has minimal scar tissue that prevents hair growth.  Or maybe he just prefers the way they look tattooed on.

i suppose if a man with thin amounts or no hair on the brow and thought they looked stupid would tattoo them on as a replacement or if they were drunk perhaps and had it done then

i know that hospitals do tatoo eybrows for people if they want as i know someone who was going to have it done

Alopecia, where the hair doesn't grow at all on some part of your body is not just confined to the top of your head. It can occur on any part of your body with hair follicles.

Or maybe he's a drag queen, who knows?

He might have Alopecia- where your body rejects its own hair.  He might even be wearing a wig- they make them so real nowadays that you might not even know.
