What reasons do people give for not using contraception?

The Catholic church forbids contraception.  Of course this applies to faithful married people.

They are irresponsible, do not care about themself or their sexual partner, they can use abortion as a means of birth control, they can claim the child is not theirs, they can keep the baby and sue for child support and make more babies with more men and women, depend on the responsible tax-payers to support you, your children, your drugs to sustain your life if you contact AIDS or other STD.

Condoms withdraws a huge part of sexual pleasure,

And pills make girls to be fat, moody and deregulate their cycle.

Judging by the number of times I have seen the question "Could I be Pregnant" I think that ignorance of the consequences is the main reason.

I hate it when I hear people complain about not using contraception because they are catholic, if your catholic why are you having s*x before marriage!

But other reasons include:

1) "it's embarrassing to buy condoms"

2) "my partner has no STIs/he pulls out"

3) "i have no medical insurance" & they don't know about Planned Parenthood or other family planning clinics

4) laws in states pertaining to minors accessing birth control without parental consent

5) "it just sort of happened and neither of us was prepared"

6) discussion of contraception ruins "the mood"

Oh, yeah, and I forgot the most common one:

"Why bother? It won't happen to me."
