what reasons should students not read julius caesar and that the government should take off from the list of books.

  1. It will most likely give them a better understanding of what went on in political life then and now. It will make them think.

    It could make them realize that great is not reserved for the now.

    etc.

    Of course you don't want that. You want to pick and choose that which you can instantly feel good about.


  2. The... list of books?  Like it wouldn't be a book anymore?

    Students should not read Julius Caesar because they don't want to.  Part of becoming a lifelong learner is developing your own tastes and taking initiative in your own learning.  If a student doesn't want to read Julius Caesar, he should choose his own book/play, with recommendation/approval from the staff to make sure he's reading something relevant to the class.

  3. If you mean his book "Bello Gallico" then unless Latin is also on the curriculum you'll never be able to understand them!

  4. Um...it's Violent/deceitful.  And BORING!
