  1. I believe that's when Gladstone's will be having their firework spectacular, so it would be a great time to go there. It's a restaurant right on the beach in Pacific Palisades that specializes in seafood (though they have vegetarian options too) and is really popular amongst locals & tourists.

The Ivy is a bit over rated, but it's one of those places everybody should check out because it's legendary.

  2. I love Barney's Beanery in West Hollywood!

    http://www.barneysbeanery.com/

The walls and ceilings have fun photos, newspaper articles, and odds and ends all over them, so there's plenty of stuff to look at while you're waiting for your food.

The menu is extensive.  It's about the size of a tabloid, 12 pages long.  The burger section alone probably has about 70 or so variations of burgers.  Portions are huge.  And if you're a beer drinker, Barney's has over 100 domestic and imported beers to choose from.  They've got some pool tables.  Verrrrry occasionally, celebs will come in.

--->Try it, you won't be disappointed!

  3. Places to eat:

In-N-Out Burger: Multiple locations, best burger in LA, ask anyone.

Pink’s Hot Dogs: 709 N. La Brea, just north of Melrose. You might even see a celebrity. Maybe.

Tommy’s Chili Burgers: Look for the shack, an LA tradition. The original location is at Beverly & Rampart, a couple miles west of downtown.

Canter’s Deli: 419 N. Fairfax, between Beverly & Melrose. Near CBS, you might spot a celebrity.

Phillippe’s: 1001 N. Alameda. Great roast beef sandwiches. Near Union Station and Olvera Street. Watch the mustard, it’s hot.

The Pantry: Corner of Figueroa and 9th, downtown. Huge portions, they never close, GREAT steak and eggs.

  4. What part of LA?  What kind of food do you like?

I am giving you a link to a good restaurant guide.
