  1. Andy Lee-  this guy was very publicly touted my Manny Stewart as the next Middleweight Champion and an all time great in 7 years......well, i watched this guy because of the hype and he got blasted!!!......it as competitive.......well kinda..........he took the harder shots by far and this was on Friday Night Fights on ESPN.....not on HBO or Showtime in some big fight.

After not too much time i was wondering how the heck this guy could be the future of the Middleweights.....and that was before he started getting hit with the big shots.........he didn't look the part of a future great........his style was very very old fashioned and it looked really strange to see it in this day and age............

Either way this guy took a bunch of shots and this wasn't a title fight or anything.........he lost the fight by either TKO and I can't imagine that he will be highly regarded fighter no matter how much tweeking is done to his style/stance/training etc etc...

  2. Probably Audley Harrison as he talked himself up like he was some sort of legend in the making, and when it came down to it he wasent even the best in Britain.

  3. You know many prospects have been put on pedistals and get shown up because they still lacked skills in their craft.

Andy Lee was recently upseted by Brian Vera, a fighter who was chosen as a easy win for lee.

Dominck Guinn was once a prospect with hope but since fell off last losing to a journeyman on ESPN Friday Night Fights.

Audrey Harrison was once a prospect who was KO'd badly last year.

This might be an insight but Kassim Ouma is falling as a fighter who will be a stepping stone if he does not improve soon.

  4. Fernando Vargas.  He didn't just lose one fight with everyone getting off the bandwagon as fast as they got on. . . like in the case of Andy Lee, Michael Katsidis, or Juan Diaz.  Vargas had PARADES in his honor, has an Olympic medal, was the youngest jr. middleweight champion of all time, and due to a lack of conditioning (and a touch of steroids, for flavor) he wasted all of his talents.  His style played perfectly into Trinidad's, and his heart got him KO'd later rather than sooner.  His whining about Oscar finally got him the fight, but he got whipped just like everyone thought he would.  He escaped with a GIFT of a victory over Winky Wright.  Shane Mosley put him out like a stale cigar, deforming his face in the process into a poor rendition of the "Elephant Man".  Last but not least, Ricardo Mayorga, who is no great fighter, smacked him around the ring all night to an easy decision.

Nothing but disappointment surrounds this guy, and his attitude makes it easy to not like him.  He gets the Breland/Reid Award for "Olympic Magic and Pro Failure".
