its so hard to find because thats all Italians drink; alcohol and coffee.. help!?!

Oh really, Italians just drink alcohol and coffee?  Where do you get your information?    

How about all the mineral waters bottled in Italy?  Orangina? Juices? Even Coke and Pepsi.

There are quite a few non-alcoholic drinks that are very popular in Italy, but virtually unknown outside the country: Chinotto, Cedrata and "Aranciata amara".

Chinotto is a soda drink made from an aromatic citrus fruit called "bergamotto", which grows exclusively in a tiny corner of Calabria. Although there are many soda bottlers who make it, by far the most popular is made by Chinotto Neri srl, headquartered in the city of Capranica (near Viterbo).

Cedrata is a sweet yellow-green drink made from extracts of the fruit of the Lebanon cider tree. It is manufactured by a company called Cedral Tassoni S.p.A., headquartered in Salò (near Brescia).

Aranciata amara is an orange soda drink (quite like Fanta or Mirinda) but with a bitter "twist" obtained by adding the extract from the bark of a certain herb mostly grown in Asia. It is manufactured by many firms, the major of which is San Pellegrino, also known for its sparking mineral water.

I believe that a variety of summer drinks can be made by using this distinctively "Italian" flavors...
