What recording studio would pay you to play music and you would play trumpet or something?

I don't think you know enough about the music industry to know how it works... the studio doesn't pay YOU... YOU have to rent the time from the studio... so YOU pay THEM.

If you do get paid, it's by a third party who needs your particular talent and instrument for a particular song or session

Trumpet or something?  What are you talking about?  I 100% love how the public has no understanding or knowledge of how the recording industry works.

You pay recording studios to make your music and you don't pay them a little, you pay them a lot.

Sometimes producers will hire outside musicians to come into the studio to record parts that they need on their songs and the pay is usually pretty good.  To be one of those guys you need to be at the top of your game and be able to sight read music and take direction from a conductor or technical director.
