Over a 3 month period I paid for an auto ($7000) from a private seller except for final $300 payment. Seller refused to turn over auto and accept last payment. After several requests with no cooperation, I filed a lawsuit for the auto to be turned over to me and included a temporary restraining order for the auto to be transferred to anyone else. However the seller sold the auto to someone else and it is now in someone else's name. Car was sold after restraining order was filed and approved by judge. Can I get the car back or any money back?

  1. Unfortunately you have to go back to court with the proof that all this has taken place.

    good luck!!

  2. Go back to court and tell the judge he violated the restraining order and kept the money. Ask for a judgment in your favor. Then the problem will be collecting the money.

  3. You can't until you notify the authorities that he violated the restraining order
