  1. It's about 70 miles NW of the City of London, In the County of Oxfordshire.

    Oxfordshire is part of the Home Counties.

    England does not have defined regions as such,  just areas such as the NorthEast and NorthWest, SouthEast and SouthWest. There are no rigid borders so some might answer that Oxford is in the SouthMidlands. Their definition of SouthMidlands is as good as mine.
