  1. Southamerica.

  2. South America.  It was a relatively prosperous country and a bit expensive to visit during the 1990s, but then Argentina had a huge economic decline and took Uruguay down with it.  Argentina is just now getting back to its former economic status and it will be awhile until Uruguay catches up with them.  I've only visited the coast of Uruguay and it was really lovely.  It reminded me a lot of the rolling hills of Tuscany.  The beaches were phenomenal.  Punta del Este is kind of like South Beach and a lot of people go there to party.  There are also a lot of nature reserves along the coast with beautiful wetlands, rocks, millions of bird species, and just gorgeous views.  The people are probably some of the friendliest and most welcoming that I've ever met.  Montevideo is a little run-down but that just has to do with the economic decline.  I think that it will truly be a more vibrant city in 10 or 15 years because it sure used to be.  Hope this helped!

P.S.  If you're just looking for basic facts like population, climate, religions, etc. you can google it or go to CIA World Fact book.
