Question:

What registry key controls the path to system icons in Windows XP??

A long time ago, my wife installed some program that changed all the icons on our sole existing XP machine. However, she uninstalled the program and did not change the icons back. I have deduced that the only thing I can do is change the registry key that points to the default system icons and point it back to the correct files. So my questions - what key do I need to find and what is the correct, default XP, path. Thanks.
