I have started piano when I was 6 or seven. I am 13 now, and I am going to be 14 soon.

But the problem is that there was a gap of 4 years of practicing without a teacher. So I think I am very behind. My teacher made play easy pieces to get my hands in discipline - she says. I played Bach invention(two voice) 15, 8, 4, 1, Symphonen(three voice) 15. I played Beethoven Sonate in G major. Forget opus number sorry. Now I am practicing Rachmaninoff - Prelude, opus 23. in G minor, which it VERY hard for me but I am grinding my hands anyways. And it is working out, slowly, but fine. These are the most recent pieces I have played.

HI Dg.  Not hearing your skill level,  it is somewhat difficult to assess exactly where you should be or specific pieces you should be playing.    I do have some reasonable suggestions.   You should be studying from a couple of Etude books.  You should have a couple of scale studies, technical exercises and one major piece... all to work on week by week.   I would not just be tackling the harder pieces without reinforcing skills that make practicing them more realistic and the scales and etude books can provide that.  OH... and one of the most important skills that I insist on is sight reading.   Read at least a few lines of one piece a day.  It does not have to be perfect as you are not practicing it... you are merely sightreading.   Get back to a teacher!!  You sound like you are good but could be better with support and encouragment.   Thanks for reading.  : ))
