What replaced telenet of vista?

telnet will not open up as a prompt on vista.. i was told to type ''C:\Telnet 'ipaddress' '' and i would be able to connect to my brothers PC.. why isnt it working? what can i use with vista to make it work?

  2. Telnet is still included with vista, but it's not installed by default.

    To install telnet go to the control panel / programs and features

    Click on "Turn Windows features on or off"

    Scroll down to Telnet client, check the box and click OK.

    Wait for windows to install the client, now it works!
