or you could get some really cool fish. if you had a 20 gallon long tank you could get a corn snake. they make great pets and rarely bite. all the animals i have mentioned i have had personal experience with and all would make great pets for  beginner reptile keeper. remember to research any animal before you buy it and to provide proper care requirments needed for it. get animals from a responcible breeder or a good petstore. avoid chain stores like petsmart, petcetra etc as they dont care for the animals properly becausre there are so many! good luck with any of these animals!

get a turtle theyre pretty easy to care for u can hold them set them on the floor fill ur tub up and let them swim and much more frogs just jump around and dnt like to be touched snakes will slither away from u if u set them down rly u can do the most with turtles get a painted turtle they live about 25 years and theyre 20- 40$ they eat crickets and veggies u can also catch them at a lake thats where i got mine they are so cool im fillin the tub up for it now it likes that cuz its lots of swimming space good luck
