  1. Degree in education leading to QTS

Or degree and post-grad, either PGCE< GTP or SCITT

Go to GTTR website for more info

  2. first answer is right about www.tda.gov.uk/Recruit.aspx

second answer is wrong about convictions, only some convictions will bar you from teaching, others might make employers wary of you

  3. First of all you need a qualification in the subject you want to teach.  Secondly you must have a completely clean Criminal Record.  No-one who has ever broken the law can become a teacher in a UK school.

Go to your nearest Careers Advice Centre, (can usually be found at the local technical college) and get advice on which courses you need to go on to qualify as a teacher.  Some of these courses can, depending on your circumstances, be funded by the Government.

Google 'Those who can, teach.', which should give you some Government sponsered websites as to where to begin.

    Good Luck!

  4. Have a look here

    http://www.tda.gov.uk/Recruit.aspx

It depends on whether you want to teach primary or secondary.  Basically, you normally need either a degree in a relevant subject and a PGCE (Post-Grad Certificate of Education) or a Bachelor of Education degree (either option will take around 4 years to achieve).  There are other routes into teaching that take longer but you can start of as a teaching assistant and work your way into it that way.  Have a look at the website above, it helped my husband out a lot when he was considering teaching.
