What requirements does Skype need??

o mean like, as far as microphones i really need to know if i need one of those, and if so, what could i use, i have a MP3 player with a mic on it, would that work?

Go to WalMart and get a regular computer headset or microphone.  Your MP3 player mic probably is too small.  You can get a good one at WalMart for less than $20.00

Skype is an excellent program that is free from computer to computer but you can even get your own phone number and sign up for a plan that gives you unlimited free calls to the United States and Canada for $2.95/mo.  The phone number costs you $12 for three months.  So basically, every three months, you pay about $20.  I use it for my home business phone and it works very well.

There are even phones that can plug into a USB port on your computer to use Skype just like you would your regular telephone, the only difference being that your computer has to be on all the time if you want the phone active all the time.
