What requirements must be met to sell an electronic device?

I'm developing a motorized, remote control cabinet to sell. What do I have to do sell it? What regulations must be met? Any resources or websites for this sort of thing?

You shouldn't need any UL listing for low voltage equipement but check to be sure.

since it is remote control, you will have to submit it to the FCC for certification. you will also or should also submit it to the Underwriters Labs for safety testing.
