What resolution does my HDTV have?

How can I check what resolution my hdtv has? all I want to find out is if it is 720P or 1080P. I have a Samsung 42" hdtv. is there a way i can check it on my hdtv like in the menu section? any help would be great..

  1. You can look up the exact model number online.  This can be found on the back of your television.


  2. In the owner's manual that came with your HDTV, go to the specifications page.  You will find the screen resolution information there.
