Two of my favorites spots are:

1. Zubies in Huntington Beach

Got some great food in a very casual atmosphere.  The calamari is great, and they also have calamari tacos which are my favorite too.  Get a pitcher of beer to go with them, and you're in for a great time!

2. Mangia Mangia in Huntington Beach

This place is one of the most authentic Italian places I've been too.  They got great food overall, and their calamari is great!  I would also try the fried mozzarella here too.  Great place to eat.

If these two choices are a bit off from where you are, you can also try the franchise places like Maggiano's.  They always have great food including the calamari.
