My 1 year old grandson has the above allergies & we'd like to know local restaurants he can eat in. We live in northern Toronto.

  1. As a server for over 20 years, I recommend that you call ahead and speak to the manager. I know this sounds like hard work, but if the restaurant really wants your business, they will make sure you get the best service possible.

Also, call before 11 am, after 2 pm and before 5 pm, just to make sure they can answer all your questions.  If they have a chef on-site, I suggest talking to that person.

    Hope this helps.

    Mary

  2. MY SUGGESTION WOULD BE IF HE GOES OUT TO DINNER WITH YOU, JUST EXPLAIN TO THE WAITRESS THAT YOUR GRANDSON WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A CERTAIN DISH AND ASK THEM IF IT CONTAINS ANYTHING THAT YOUR GRANDSON WOULD BE ALLERGIC TOO.  I KNOW IT CAN BE TIME CONSUMING BUT IT MAY BE THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE THAT YOU MAY HAVE.

DOES YOUR GRANDSON ACTUALLY HAVE THESE ALLERGIES AND IF NOT, DO YOU THINK THAT YOU SHOULD BE AN ALLERGIST?  I AM A LITTLE CONCERNED AT THIS TIME THAT SOMEONE SO LITTLE WOULD ALREADY HAVE ALLERGIES.  MAYBE IT IS TIME FOR A SECOND OPINION.  JUST THOUGHT.  OHIP WILL PRAY, I DO BELIEVE.  GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS

  3. I'd go online to some restaurants in your area and check out their menus.  Or ask the server when in your fave restaurant to speak to the chef about your grandson's restrictions and ask him to recommed something.

  4. Mc Donalds

  5. None!
