I want to go to a place that is nice, but not too expensive or formal. The meal should cost less than $25 per person and kid-friendly, but it doesn't have to have a children's menu. Thanks!

  1. leonas it is a great italian resturant that has great food and they fit your price range perfectly it my fav resturant here it will be yours too

  2. i agree, harry careys.  theres also a lawry's steakhouse.  i reallly like greek islands, myself.

  3. Rainforest Cafe would be good for you.

  4. if you're looking for a great, great, great restaurant. go to fogo de chao..but its pricey and is def. more than 25 for each person. otherwise, brazzaz, which is exactly like fogo de chao but obviously not as good since it's cheaper. it serves brazillian grilled meats. the experience is really unique because waiters come out with diff. meats and you get a little coaster which is red on one side and green on the other. you flip it to green when you see something u like and keep it red when you don't. the good is so amazing, and the salad bar has a great selection of cheeses, smoked salmons, salami, etc. it's yummy for sure. check it out!! i promise you'll like it. ....unless you're a vegetarian.

magiano's is great too. it's a great italian restaurant that has a bunch of dishes. both these restaurants are located on grand..near the really big mcdonalds that used to be the rock and roll one.

tip: go to both during lunch time..the prices are cheaper...by a lot.

  5. Cheesecake Factory at the base of the Hancock Tower would fit your bill.

  6. Harry Careys is very good. Like a very upscale sports bar. You can see their menu online. Another good choice is Wild Fire. The cook over an open flame. Very reasonable. Of course you could always check out a real deep dish pizza parlor such as Gino's East, Giordano's, and Uno ( the real one, not the chain). If you're in the Schaumburg area, Pappdeau Seafood is very good (even if they are a chain). A real nice family restaurant is Ed Debevics. It will remind you of an old 50's diner with good food. Or, if you happen to decide to really go all out, dont miss Gibsons Steak House. Probably the best steak I have ever had. You can see their menu on line too. Any restaurant owned by the Lettuce Entertain You group is good. They have many. Hope you find what you are looking for.

  7. Rainforest Cafe is a winner with the kids.
