  1. Why not take them for Yum Cha? I go to both the New Shanghai and Four Rivers in Dickson and have no complaints about either. Some other options are:

    * The Charcoal Grill: A Canberra institution, its been there for decades and is a good place if your parents are a little more traditional in their tastes. However steer clear if theyre vegetarians! Their speciality is steak, they do it VERY well.

    * Dubrows at the Narrabundah shops, fantastic ambiance, great food and very good service for a Canberra restaurant.

  2. Zafarellis in Dixon is great so it Portia. Depends how ritzy you want to get...Chaiman and Yip is divine.

  3. If you like chinese food, try Hidden Dragon in Civic.

  4. i like chairman and yip too!

  5. I have visited Canberra many times and I must say that some of the best restaurants I've every dined at are here.  Here is a list of some of the best restaurants ever in Canberra.  All of these have very fine cuisine that anyone would enjoy.

    Chairman & Zip

    Shogun

    Mama's Trattoria

    Milk & Honey

    Anise

    Caffe Dilla Piazza

    Iori Japanese Restaurant

    Sabayon

    Gus's Cafe

    Cafe Essen

    Antigo Cafe & Bar

    Dijon Restaurant

  6. Bellucis Trattoria in Challis St, good mix of traditional and mordern Italian. Just a warning, it gets phenomenally busy so ring and book
