I'm going to be staying around 3rd and Market in San Francisco. What have you local folks (or those that have visited) found? (I won't have a rental car and will be training at 1st and Market, so it needs to be around that area, please).

Thanks!

  1. Fog City Diner

Cindy Paulson's place its the "Bomb"

  2. wendys and burger king

  3. El Faro, on 1st Street @ Mission.

But don't fret, there are plenty of places around that area.

  4. There are lots of good restaurants near where you are staying.  The following are moderately priced [since your company is footing the bill] and I applaude you for skipping the fast food and chain restaurants...experience real food, you are in the best city in the world to do so!

Tadich Grill 240 California-The Original Cold Day Restaurant: An old boy’s kind of place that has been around since 1849. Great seafood, chops and sourdough. Stiff drinks, no reservations, but counter seats are first come first served.

Chinese-Henry's Hunan on Natoma between New Montgomery and 2nd street.  Don't miss the Diana's Meat Pie!

Scala’s Bistro – In the Sir Francis Drake Hotel on Powell at Sutter – Creative upscale Italian food served in a bustling, warm environment

Best dim sum in the City is at Yank Sing 101 Spear Street at Mission.
