What restrictions pop up when you gain friends on MySpace?

When I got 1,500 friends, I couldn't preview my bulletins, and then just now I got 2,000 and it's telling me I can't send messages. If I keep getting friends what other things are gonna come up???

once you get to 5000 they take away your mutual/online view all friends links

why on earth would you want so many friends? does it make you feel popular?
