or dose it have one in it?

i think it dose but im not shure which one.

  1. I think its Figurative Language. Its a hyperbole .

    Hyperbole: A description which exaggerates, usually employing extremes and/or superlatives to convey a positive or negative attribute; “hype.”


  2. It could be hyperbole but I'm more inclined towards personification.  Personification is when a unintelligent object takes on human characteristics.  Lennie's smile is not a person-- it can't defeat somebody.  Thus this sentence personifies it.
