  1. May 2008

    Disney's California Adventure

Corn Dog Castle - closed May 5-22.

It's Tough to Be a Bug - closed May 12-23 for rehab.

    Disneyland

"it's a small world" - closed until November for extensive rehab.

Mickey's House - closed until May 15 for rehab.

Sailing Ship Columbia - closed May 12-15 and May 19-21 for rehab.

        Donald's Boat - closed May 19-June 20 for rehab.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - closed May 20.

I was in Disneyland last week and rides some rides kept breaking down (Indiana Jones, Space Mountain...). It was so annoying!

  2. I was just there on Wednesday and I think Small World was the only thing closed.

  3. You didn't leave to many details. ALL rides at the park should NOT be closed at all, as for a few rides being closed, its just due to annual maintenance. Its prob the low peak of the year for them so there take advantage of this and close rides for your safety. Things like parts will be replaced or theming will be touched up with paint, just little things.

  4. You can check the Disneyland Website for all hours, entertainment and scheduled closures.  You actually have to click on the day you are going for the specifics.  For schedules they post them for about 3 months in advance.

Currently the only one scheduled to be closed in Disneyland is "It's a Small World", which is actually closed until later this year due to a major refurbishment.

California Adventure has "It's Tough to be a Bug" closed.  "Corn Dog Castle" is also closed, which is actually not a ride but a food location.

  5. It's a Small World

  6. You should take a look at the official Disneyland website. The calender always lets you know of any maintanance or refurbishment planned for any of the attractions.

I checked the site too and it didn't say anything about any of the rides being closed, but you might want to double check, so take a look at the link I posted to the official Disneyland Resort website.

  7. "It's a Small World" in Disneyland is closed for refurbishment until November 2008 because passengers were getting heavier and the boats were actually bottoming out.  They have to make the canal deeper so the boats don't hit the bottom.

"Corn Dog Castle" (a restaurant) and "It's Tough to Be a Bug" (a really cute 3D show) in California Adventures are also scheduled to be closed.
