My ex wife says i have no rights to know what my children are doing, as regards school, work, exams, health etc, as they have indicated they do not want any contact with me and that under the children's act (england) it is their right to not have to tell me anything. Is this correct?

  1. this is very complex, and it depends on a number of factors.

firstly if the children are old enough to make this decision

whether there was any(and i am NOT) accusing you of this, violence or

reason for the children's' safety that you can't see them.

go to a solicitor who specialises in family breakups.

do you want to see them or just know what is going on.

social workers will probably get involved if your wife starts making a real fuss to assess the situation.

usually courts want the children to see the father, but if they refuse

(probably under pressure from the mother) you are in a difficult

    situation.

if you want to pursue this you must see a solicitor

    good luck

  2. Ask at your local CAB

  3. Why would you want to force them to communicate with you if they have indicated they want no contact?  You need a lawyer to find out what your rights are.
