  1. You say partner? Not husband? Whose name is on the birth certificate? Yours and his!?  You didn't say what country you are in, but, if you are BOTH New Zealanders, get a passport for the baby, or see if you can put baby on yours!  I am sure he knows you are only on a working holiday visa, whatever you do, don't overstay your welcome. Just tell him you have to go back home for a while (I suspect he is American!?) and you will be taking baby with you, to meet your relatives, then if he still wants to continue the relationship, you can obtain a permanent visa to return you whereever you are now, and get married!!! Nice as sweet! No yelling or shouting! Just tell him nicely!! I was just thinking, you really don't have much time to take a passport for baby, So you had better hussle!!! Time is flying by!

  2. Please apply for citizenship and study hard on your test. Get moving, the waiting list is long. As for your child, if he or she was born in the United States he or she will become a natural born citizen of the United States and may stay with your husband if you so choose. Consider hiring a lawyer also, they may help you out in "Immigration Law" peocedures.

  3. depends what country you are in originally
