  1. Same rights as on duty.

There really isn't any such thing as off duty, when their authority applies.

Given the meek amount of information you gave I'm going to go ahead and say you were being a jag off and he called you on it.

    Grow up

  2. An off duty police officer has all the rights that an on duty one has.  He or she may arrest you for a crime if they see you committing it.

  3. were 10-8 24/7 so if you hit us knowing were a cop but off duty, you just got assult on an officer. he has every right off duty as he does on duty sorry bout your bad luck

  4. The right to be for warned that the gun is next.

  5. That's true. Eventhough an officer is off duty, he still has the same rights as he does when on duty because he's still an officer of the law.   As far as harrassing you, you didn't specify on what he harassed you about.

  6. All the rights he/she has IN uniform.

    DAN ROCKS!

  7. Once an off duty police officer has identified himself as a police officer whether off duty or on duty they have all the rights of a peace officer that applies in the state they are residing.  So once the badge comes out he / she is on duty, whether its harrassing you or not.
