What rights to privacy do people have when using the Internet at home? ?

Are there limits to their privacy rights? Do those same rights and limits exist at work?

  1. Not clear on who you are referring to.

    A computer at work is owned by the business, who has rights to know what is ON the computer, and what it is being used for.

    At home.. if you are a minor, parents would have the same authority.

    ANY website you use or ANY email can be broken into or risk your privacy. If you are using the internet, you should always realize this.  


  2. At work you have NO privacy rights to your internet usage. That's the easy answer.

    At home it's more complex. What your ISP can, or cannot, monitor and report on is still an evolving field of law. Best bet... don't do anything illegal, and then you won't have to worry.
