  1. You can familarize yourself with the different types of bankruptcy on www.bcsalliance.com    A bankruptcy attorney will see you on a free consultation. Filing will depend on income, debts, assets and taxes. Once a bk attorney reviews they will be able to tell you what you qualify for. Bankruptcy should be the last resort, but without much information from your post, can't help you that much. Review that website and review the different types of filings and how they affect, then set up an appointment to see a bk attorney in your area. As I stated, it should be a last resort after all other options are exhausted. Any bk filing stays on your credit report 10 years and debts for 7 years. Good Luck!
