  1. Pinarello without a shadow of doubt!

    Followed by the Ridley.

For the same reasons as Brian,  . .Plus! The Pinarello has the 'X' factor!

I am simply not a fan of Cannondale!

Interesting to note the contributor who has a full carbon bike but chooses steel or aluminium forks ???? - Manufacturers take note!!

I think carbon forks on a roadbike are a 'must-have'!!

    .

  2. Apparently lochlevencycles likes the feeling of numb arms when on a long cycle. Me though, I like the feeling in my arms, which is why I have Carbon forks on my Alu road bike...I don't really understand the logic behind your statement. You ride a Carbon frame, which is under much more stress than the forks, yet you won't use Carbon Forks?...

As with Mr G - Pinarello 1st Choice, for the "X - Factor" and the pedigree.

I'm not convinced by Cannondales. I see a lot of people slagging the company off for various reasons - Apparently their frames aren't built to the quality of their rivals in the market...I don't know, never ridden one. Meh.

  3. The Cannon, those other bike are just foreign metric piles of absolute c**p. c**p c**p c**p.

  4. Personally I would choose a Cannondale because I've ridden them before and trust them. I'd feel more confident with any after sales issue too.

I would recommend great caution with carbon fibre forks, I prefer to carry a few extra grams (helps improve your fitness) and have the peace of mind of steel or ALU. I have a carbon framed bike, but will never put carbon forks on it.

The rest of it is down to what you want from your bike and details like colours, equipment and price.

So if I had to choose one of those 4, I would get the CAAD9 and maybe attach a horseshoe to the front forks for luck

    Happy shopping!

  5. Personally the CAAD9 would be my choice. The Pinarello is a great bike and it's a cool rig to show off to your riding buddies (well it IS a Pinarello!!) , but I love the CAAd 9 Cannondales. The Ridley Damocles is another great bike and the ride is awesome on it. Actually, I like the ride of the Ridley better than any of the non-steel Pinarellos that I've ridden. In fact, it was one of the most comfortable bikes I've ever ridden. Still, the CAAD9 takes the cake. i can't explain it, but it does. Also, to the guy commenting on foreign c**p. That answer was hilarious but the Cannondale six13 is made in Taiwan- all carbon Cannondales are. Only the aluminum C-dales (like the CAAD9)are made in here in the USA. That's not why I picked it though. I just love aluminum frames.

  6. pinarello-1st choice

they have come up with the new onda seat-stays and forks which make riding a whole new experience

    Ridley-2nd choice

i have ridden this bike and a must say it's very comfortable and handles extremal well

The cannondales you have listed are nowhere near the standard of the pinarello and the ridley
