Pat Benetar may have one of the highest as she's a trained Operatic, but I certainly think Pete Steele of Type O Negative has the lowest vocal range.

Low: Elvis, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix

Geddy is too obvious...  What about Mark Slaughter, Kelly Groucutt, Barry Gibb & that one dude from Air Supply for 'highest'.

Peter Steele (hands down) for deepest voice! (type o negative).

Honorable mentions:  Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen.
