  1. Metal.

the metal community is THE BEST and Most accepting and supportive, just look at the UNITY that came about when Dimebag passed away, it was pretty PROFOUND

  2. metal.

  3. Metal...I'm always accepted at metal gigs, but then I've never been to a punk concert!

  4. I LOVE Metal, but unfortunately Punk is definitely more accepting.

  5. I like punk better but i think metal is more accepting.

    both good though.

  6. in my area the "punk" community is more accepting...

the metal heads are into outing posers and stuff..

    "GRAWR!! YOU'RE NOT BRUUUUTAL ENOUGH'

    lol..

    but im dead serious...

    its quite comical.

  7. True punk is more accepting, it's not all about the clothes that you wear or the amount of fans you have, it's about the message they are sending out. And as long as they have a good message and don't sell out they will be accepted.

  8. i lsten to both like

metal: job for a cowboy, iron maiden, metallica etc

punk: from first to last, escape the fate, senses fail, ring me to the horizon etc

there are more thers just to many

  9. It really depends, if you are talking about the true hardcore fans of each than they are not very accepting.  I would say metal is more accepting though for the most part.  Punk, although they wont admit it is almost elitest in their thoughts and look down on just about everyone.  If you dont like a particular band or in the opposite case if you like a certain band that you are an outcast not worthy of their time.

  10. Are there any punk communities nowadays?

It depends on where you live as well I think, despite the fact that there are some common variables.

Probably,in bigger places than the town I live in in Greece I suppose, but the only "punk" kids here are clueless,a lot into stuff like,I don't know,AFI,only? But I suppose theoretically they would be less accepting, since the genre is not at all broad and "selling-out" quite easy.

The metal community here,on the contrary, believes just about everything that doesn't sound like Metallica,Maiden and Sabbath to be "g*y".

  11. I think both are pretty much equal. Around here it's pretty much the same. Those who listen to Punk dress the same way, to them you're a poser if you don't listen to a certain band. The same with Metal, if you don't like a certain band you're a poser. To them that certain band is like Avenged Sevenfold and Job for a Cowboy. I don't get it. Well, those are just my observations from where I live. If I had to choose I'd pick Metal.

  12. Metal.

Even though I don't listen to metal that much and love punk, punks are kind of elitist. Plus, most of the "punk" kids I know listen to Panic At The Disco and Paramore (wtf?) and even though I wouldn't call myself a punk, I know a h**l of a lot more about the genre than they do.

I've always found Metalheads to be really friendly and accepting. One of my best friends is a metalhead. =]

  13. Probably metal.

I have nothing against either though. I like them both, but I prefer metal.

  14. metal

  15. punk.

  16. Metal.

Punk isn't bad, but sometimes they get on their high horse

  17. Well, I like punk better, but I think metal's more accepting, because in PUnk you have to dress a certain way, and act a certain way, or you'll be called a poser. Grunge is the best. We accept most people. Unless you're a Jonas Brother fan, but that's just me!!!

  18. metal, they look tough from the outside, but once you're on the inside, everyone is cool with each other.

  19. i like punks i hate metal heads but i overall like emos!!!!!!!!!!!!
