  1. the establishment of the North American Colonies was to leave behind the oppression in Europe. This oppression was both religious and economic in nature. The settlers were taking a big chance that surviving the trip and the rigors of this new land.This information is just the tip of the iceberg there is tons more to study. can't get it all in this setting.

  3. Well, didn't most colonist come to America for Freedom of Religion and freedom from the tyranny of taxation.?

    I thought these were some of the reasons that most people immigrated here for political, financial  and  economic freedom.
