Question:

What role do dreams play in your life?

I had a really bizarre & vivid dream (nightmare, almost) last night. I dreamed of my ex-gf & my current gf meeting each other. I'm not going into the details, but if this were to happen in real life, I have one word for it, DRAMA.

My ex and I haven't really been speaking to each other, which sort of hurts me because she was my best friend as well (I know that she still has feelings for me) and I really miss her alot.

How do you let dreams affect your life, do you let lifelike dreams act as a sign for things you do in day to day life? Do you ignore them and forget them ever happening? Do your dreams ever come true? Would you take that as a sign to say hello to my ex? XOXOXO

  1. i try to ponder them to try to get at the emotions an feelings in my subconscience im maybe unaware of or ignoring, but i dunt see them as omens, or exact truth ♥

  2. entertainment.

    come true? more or less.

after my gf and i broke up i dreamt about her all the time. i mean every night.

theres nothing wrong with being friends with your ex. if your concerned about how your gf will take it then talk to her before you start talking with your ex again.

best of luck. girls can drive you crazy.

  3. you know what.....i had a nightmare the night before, it was so bad that i was afraid to go to bed last night....wasnt a relationship thing....it was kinda vivid at the time but all i remember now is that there was some one tryin to kill me or some thing but when i woke up with a fright i felt like that person was still in the room starring at me front the foot of my bed! almost shart my boxers!!! lol think it was coz i love horror movies...been watching them str8 for the past week....Vacancy was the last 1....luved it! But my dreams never come true...even the good ones!!!

  4. I believe dreams are what the conscious is trying to tell us. I try to figure mine out.

It was weird, I had a dream about a week ago that I was walking down this really nice block. My sister and her husband just moved into this nice house [In real life, not in the dream] But it wasn't there block, for some reason her husband was sitting in front of a different house. I went and stood next to a tree and leaned against it. He then yelled to me "Samantha! Go tell me what the score for the Mets is!"

I woke up, and I went to the kitchen and my mom just got off the phone. So I asked her who she was talking to, and she told me "Oh, it was just Jose." [My sisters husband] And when I asked what he wanted, my mom said "He just wanted to know what the Mets score was since he got home late last night."

My mouth hit the floor. I have awkward dreams. One time I had a dream that I was in front of my house, and I kept hearing this alarm. My niece came out with my mothers alarm and she was holding it, just looking at me. It was annoying the h**l out of me,  I tried hitting it, but it kept beeping. I stomped on it. I forgot what my niece told me, but after a couple of minutes I woke up, and I realized I was late for school. My mom forgot to turn off her alarm, she woke up early and decided to get in the bathroom early so it was going off for about 10 minutes.

  5. my dreams never make alot of sense but when they do i can end up liking the person in my dream more or less as a friend depending on how nice they were to me in my dream, i dunno if thats a problem but it does make me obsess about ppl and loath others that i dont have alot of reason to :S

i dont take them as signs tho i just think im going crazy when i think back to most of my dreams

  6. My mom died a couple of years ago.  I dream that Im arguing with my family and friends telling them she is not dead!  Its a very reacurring and vivid dream.  I miss her soooo sooo dearly.  I never really had to time to mourn for her because I never accepted the fact that she was gone.  She will always be in my heart.   I miss the fact that she never got to see the birth of my daughter.  I know she is watching me and one day we will see each other.

W/out dreams I wouldnt have goals in life!!

  7. Dreams are supposed to be a way for the dreamer to be able to tell what is going on in there subconscious.

  8. Dreams are very helpful to me.

Many components come true.  Sometimes it is something I need to realize about a current happening in my life.

Perhaps a dream about one's ex meeting the current significant other is good practice for you for if it comes to fruition.

  9. I ahve a dream encyclopaedia by the bed, but it doesnt really help.  My dreams are quite random.  They usually involve people known to me but in situations unreal

For example, last night I dreamt about snogging a guy that I cant stand the sight of.  I';m also quite violent in my dreams

  10. Dreams are scientifically regarded as a balance for current affairs. What that means is when something, especially emotional conflicts haven't been sorted out, you're going to try to find a fit when you are sleeping.

When I had a crush on this girl, and after a night that I accidentally bored her out, I was having dreams about her 6 nights in a row while daytime she was still sitting beside me in the class. All I had in the dreams were one day drama the other day a sweet outcome. It still hasn't worked out yet. But I only treated a sign reflecting my emotional status. After all, all I can do is overanalysing our friendship when it turned awry. Clearly, I am the only one being affected by the dream.

I say, if you are trying to win her back, I mean at least as a good friend, try talk to her about it, face-to-face or phone her. If you can't, after such a long time, e-mail her see if she will reply you. If she does, it def. means that she would like to work on this friendship and give it another shot; she enjoys your company.

But, don't mention the dream. that's my advise. I think the dreams don't really come true to me. I know some people, have dreams coming true coz it's their subconscious mind playing with their intuition. I don't have a very good intuition, just a very good analytical ability.

Hope it helps, and everything works out better for you.

  11. I actually look up the meanings of the symbols in my dreams and surprisingly they fit in all together...

ive also had 2 dreaams regarding sexuality

  12. I am sorry my friend but my opinion may offend.

Its all rubbish this understanding dreams.

While yes you can often find a link between dreams and your current life claiming to understand that link or the deeper meaning of a dream is rubbish.

Have you not noticed when you speak to someone who understands dreams he never says.  This means this.

    Its always.

    This could mean this.

    Now tell me.

If your doctor saw your leg bent backwards and he said.

That could mean its broken or if not then its an indication of something deeper.

Would you not leave and seek out a doctor who knows what a broken leg is?

There is no way of understanding whats in our dreams.

Just accept them for what they are.  All in your mind.

  13. This is so funny!  I rarely dream or at least rarely remember them.  I dreamed last night that some how my BMW had been impounded by the local police and when I went to pick it up it was gone.  They had given it to someone else and I had to drive a 1957 truck for several days until they could find my car.  My alarm went off before I got my car back. WTF!  I don't own a BMW...I actually drive an 04 GMC Canyon. And I'm an angel, can't imagine why my vehicle would be impounded...Stupid huh?

BTW--You're looking for peace.  That's what your dream means.  You would like for them to get along.  And it may happen, just not as soon as you want it to...be patient.
