Investors who believe in the vision and plan of an upstart entrepreneur play a vital role.  The most important role is that of the consumer.  The entrepreneur must provide a service or product that is in demand in order to be successful.  No consumer interest equals no sales.  No sales equals no profit.  No profit equals business failure.  Another must is customer service.  An entrepreneur must be surrounded by motivated and trained individuals with a passion for their service that equals that of the boss.  Lastly, competition in a free market is healthy for the entrepreneur.  Many businesses offer the same services and strive to compete for the business of the consumer which results in better quality services and products.
