  1. The same one that is most important in ALL education processes, the parent.  Teachers and other school employees only have the child for X number of years.  The parent has them for 18.

    -S (special education teacher)

  2. FOLLOWING THE SPECIAL ED LAW "IDEA"

SCHOOLS DO NOT DO THIS, THEY ARE VERY CORRUPT WITH SPECIAL ED. JUST LOOK AROUND THE SPECIAL ED SITE HERE AT THE QUESTIONS ABOUT SCHOOLS DOING WRONG.

  3. The Parent--no one knows your child better than you do.  It is important to be involved in the planning and implementation of your child's special education.  You must be your child's voice until your child can speak for himself.

  4. Having a teacher that goes the extra mile and is able to work effectively and in a positive manner with not only the child but the parents as well!

  5. I agree, the parent has the most important role, as they know their children and have to keep advocating for their children.  They have all the rights, really!  School systems have to comply with this and that, parent's have the freedom to get the services their children need (and qualify for).

  6. I would think proper and correct diagnosis of the student
