So what role does duality (the binary relationships between opposites, like ying yang) play in for example, the Shang Dynasty oracle bone divinations and the Book of Changes (i.e I-Ching)?

I have my own answer/theory, but i'd like to hear yours. i'll tell you mine in details .

  1. ying yang is a system or a sign of cooperation between peoples in society.man and woman must coexist and one canoot live without the other

  2. The concept of Taiji, the unity of oppositions, is one of the cornerstones of the traditional Chinese culture, as such it's essential for its specific implementation. It took its part in forming the Chinese worldview, philosophy, war and business strategy, martial arts, TCM etc.

The central concept that Taiji teaches is, that anything in the world is composed of opposites. There is for example nobody who is purely good.

  3. I understand this to be something like "balance".

  4. Basically, it's a demonstration expressing that no one force can dominate life!

At the height of any movement, invisible seeds of change undermine, and reverse, the effects of what is seen!

Revolution is an inherent principle of nature!
