the bilby which is a long ear masupial (looks a bit like a rabbit) has become part of it thru a campaign to raise awareness about how endangered it is.

It is the time of the cute little Bilby....instead of the rabbit, we have a Bilby that kicks ****!

The platypus just gets chocolate eggs. That is all. :P

The Easter Bilby is an important reminder to Australians of the plight of our native wildlife.

Where as, the rabbit (or bunny) is an introduced pest in Australia.

Wonder flew over Australia last Easter and saw the Easter Platy (as he is known 'down under') and witnessed him "hop-walking' and delivering colored eggs and chocolate treats to all of the wonderful (yet naughty) Aussie children.
