  2. No country has anything 'over' another. We are all independant with our own government. Not to mention you posted this in the AUSTRALIA category not the New Zealand one. Does or Do not dos, pretty poor English from a pom.

  5. As far as I am aware, the UK has no "role over NZ".  Queen Elizabeth II is the head of state of NZ, just as she is of Australia, Canada and many other places, and is represented in NZ by a Governor General.  The UK government, however, has no authority in NZ.

    New Zealand is not part of the British Empire.  There is no longer such a thing as the British Empire.
