  1. THE POLICE ARE ALWAYS, IN PEACETIME OR WARTIME, SOLDIERS IN THE WAR OF CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE AND CRIME. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO CONTROL CIVIL CONDUCT BUT, IN THE TIME OF DECLARED WAR OR EXTREME CIVIL UNREST AND DISRUPTION, THE POLICE ARE SUBJECT TO A DECLARED MARSHALL LAW. THIS PLACES THE CIVIL AUTHORITIES UNDER STRICT MILITARY CONTROL.

  2. If your country is invaded then everyone becomes a soldier.  There is no universal law or procedure to specifically address the role of police.  Police departments do not have the equipement or the manpower to put up much resistance to a well equiped military.

  3. The same as any other Patriot would > To follow orders and to fight

    Vet-USAF

  4. It depends on the country's "Transition To War PLan". All civilian organizations are assigned specific additional responsibilities in support of the country's defense effort.
