or do you think he might have a chance? Is he going to keep his hands up tonight and not eat a hundred jabs like last fight?

  1. I'm saying a tenth round KO. Pavlik will knock him out.  Teddy Atlas on Friday Nights Fights predicted a 5th round KO for whatever thats worth.

  2. Taylor has to be the aggressor in the fight.  He has to keep putting the jab in Pavlcs face. If Taylor does this he will wear Pavlc down an knock him out.  If Taylor lets Pavlc cut the ring and get him on the ropes he will have a harder time and will risk getting knocked out.  My prediction is Taylor in a split decision.

  3. Taylor says he's trained properly for this fight and he could cause Pavlik trouble like he did in the first fight. I think it'll be a classic and ti'll be a late knockout for Kelly. Hope so cause John Duddy has signed up for his next fight.

  4. Round 5

  5. I think it will go the distance and Taylor will win a close decision.

  6. Im going to echo Woody 7 Brent on this one.  Whenever you have a rematch from a knockout, the guy that lost usually fights a little tentative.  I could see the fight unfolding differently this time, with Taylor suffering psychologically from the KO, and not fighthing to win but to avoid a KO.  Something like Mark Breland in his rematch with Marlon Starling.  In the rematch, Breland just couldn't pull the trigger, despite having Starling all but beat in the first fight.  That's my prediction, Taylor is going to stare at Pavlik's right hand and step to his right, and then step again.  Meanwhile, Taylor isn't throwing enough punches to win.

A strategy Taylor MIGHT try is to give away early rounds in the hopes Pavlik loses steam, then go for a late KO to avoid a decision loss.  That would be my strategy if I were Taylor.  Well, if I were Taylor, I'd have moved up to 168 and found a fringe contender as a tune up.  Getting immediately back into the ring with the guy that blasted you is a bad idea.

  7. Take a look at http://www.fightjunkie.com/predictions they have a whole article about the fight.

  8. This fight goes the distance with Taylor not doing enough to win the fight.

  9. Win or lose, I think Taylor will make the distance.

  10. Taylor has a problem with fading late.  The extra pounds should help, but people forget just how country-strong Jermaine Taylor is.  With any other referee besides Steve Smoger, who allows fighters to work their way out of severe punishment, Taylor would've had a 2nd round KO in the first fight.

This should be a great battle.  I think everybody is underestimating Taylor.  I think he'll pull off the upset and KO Pavlik in the same round as he was knocked out in the first bout - the 7th.

  11. Pavlik will get it done in more convincing fashion. He will be busier and more confident and won't stick out his jaw to taunt Taylor this time.

Round SIX..........one round earlier than last time Pavlik will knock him out!
