I'm trying to figure out what route the bus from Eilat to Jerusalem takes. I know it travels through Masada just south of the West Bank territory. Does it then proceed through the West Bank, or go all the way around within Israeli territory into Jerusalem?

  1. Bus #444 is an express bus from Eilat. The route is designed to get you to your northern destination in just under 5 hours. Passengers  have a chance to see beautiful desert scenery along the way. The bus never enters any foreign territory as your question implies. As you have alluded to  the West Bank of the Jordan, please note that (following several stops in the Dead Sea area) there are 3 drop-off points at the junctions of Mitzpe Yericho /Jericho Lookout, Kfar Adumim, and Maale Adumim. After that, the bus proceeds directly to Jerusalem.

If you have concerns or specific questions about the Egged route, call *2800 or 03-6948888.   Have a pleasant trip!

  2. Its the 666 Bus Route not the 444 Bus Route.
